We are going to Chicago!
So tomorrow is the day! My brother Jordan, bub, has lived in Chicago for the past 4 years. And tomorrow we leave to visit him, like we do every year...but this time, we get to bring him back home! He has decided he's ready to be back to his roots. Be back to some country and a little less city. Fish, relax, see the stars...just be home! I'm ecstatic, and so is O. She has asked me if bub can move in with us and sleep in her trundle and if I would adopt him, ha! I guess she thinks that would make for an automatic sibling...which is what she wants desperately. Hmmm... For now, I'm just so ready to have him home so he can enjoy watching O grow up as much as I do. Go to her soccer games, watch her dance recital, come to her 5th birthday party, all things he's missed since she has been born. Yay! Excited for what's to come. Welcome home Bub!

Dear Olivia...
I am starting this to keep my thoughts for you. I am not good at remembering to write things down, and I'm afraid that if I don't, I will soon forget...because I forget a lot.
Here are some things that I want you to know:
~Daddy and I love you more than the world. First and foremost, I want you to always believe that
~You are wonderful and kind and smart and talented
~I think you will do great things, and watching you grow is like a gift that I get to unwrap everyday. I never know what is going to be in that package, but I always know I will love it.
~This parenting thing is hard, but know, we are doing our very best to be the best parents we can be for you...and sometimes, well, we need a 15 minute break...but then I promise we will get right back to work
~We will always, always, always be here for you. No.Matter.What
Here are some things that I never want to forget:
~Your compassion amazes me. A couple months ago, you brought home an award for helping your friend at school get her walker after storytime. No one asked you to do this, it just made your heart hurt so bad that she was left sitting there all alone, that you decided to step in and help. Good Job Liv. I am so proud of you that thinking about how compassionate you are brings tears to my eyes. You make my heart smile.
~I love how when you sing Moves Like Jagger, you actually sing, I got the moves like a dragon. Priceless.
~I love that we call your outie bellybutton a pigsnout, and that you've grown to believe that is just what it's called...you may not be ok with this in 5 years.
~You actually like asparagus. And thats awesome.
~You are the best snuggler, always have been. And love to give hugs and kisses!
~Kiss, nosie, headbut, hug.
~Your love for Hannah.
~Our walks and love of nature.
~The 10 million faces you make, I swear you have an expression for every word you say!
~That you learned to tie your shoe! I actually wasn't even ready for this, and it made me a little sad because that means you really are growing up, but I am so proud of your dedication to learn new things.

~Those tiny little toes, I never want your feet to grow.
~That everynight when I put you to bed, you ask me to check on you one million times and won't go to sleep until I swear to you that I will.
~I love that you LOVE Christmas music as much as I do, and we drive daddy crazy singing Jingle Bells in July ;)
~Grammy taught you to play twinkle twinkle on the piano. I hope this is one of the many things she will teach you growing up, because she is a wonderful woman.
I cannot wait to put many more memories and adventures on here for us to be able to look back on and read together. You are a miracle that I thank god for everyday.
