Where clouds come from

A couple years ago, as we were driving down 435, we passed by some kind of power plant.  And almost instantly, a lightbulb went off in my (then) 3 year olds head. 

"MOM, THAT IS WHERE CLOUDS COME FROM!" 

It was just so sweet and innocent, and brilliant.  It made perfect sense to her.  So I of course said, "Yes Olivia, you are right!!  Isn't that neat?"

To this day, she still believes that.  And everytime we pass by one of the cloud makers, she points it out...as if it is as magical as the first day she discovered it. 

Being that she is in school now, soon she will learn the truth about how clouds are made.

Until then, I'm just going to keep on letting her believe that these are in fact, real cloud factories. 

Time for a change

We decided, with the arrival of a new baby, our beloved Jetta was just not going to suffice for backseat space.  Two carseats back there would just be too cramped.

We looked around for awhile and had decided that we wanted 3rd row seating, because if we were getting something bigger anyway, why not go for the gold. 

Jetta, you've been good to us for 5+ years now, but it's time to say goodbye.  I hope you find a new owner that takes care of you as good as we did.  You know, with spilling french fries between your seats and such....  Adios old friend.

And HELLO to our new one.  Our new giant, 3 seater, with dvd player built in.  Seriously, I don't know what we are going to do with all this new space.  When Olivia sits all the way in the back, it's like we are in different states.  And it's kind of great, because since I can't reach her, she can't ask me to hand her things every.five.seconds.  I might be able to get used to all the new peace and quiet that I have in the car now. 

Well...until May :)

We have some BIG news!

I'm so happy that we can finally share the news!!!

Baby #2 is on the way!  Olivia's going to be a big sister!

We are so excited to welcome a new baby into our family, due to arrive May 9, 2013!

Self Confidence and Pride

You got chosen the very first month of school for the Pirate Rock award!!

Every month our school district awards 2 children from each class who demonstrate good character traits!  August's character trait was Self Confidence...and not to my surprise, you were chosen! 

I love your confidence, and I hope you never lose it!  Great Job Sis!

 And your Pirate Pride's not too shabby either ;)
