Pinkalicious Perfectness!

For your birthday party theme this year, you chose of course, Pinkalicious...which is your all time favorite book series.

I of course, Pinterest lover that I am, decided to jump all over this theme!  How much fun?  Everything pink and girlie?  Ok!

So we decided to roll with this whole you turning 5 thing, and have it be your very first "friends" party.  See normally, I do the invite list.  We invite family and friends and it really just ends up being a giant free for all, running around, eating, mingling, playing...which is great.  But you really wanted to do a tea party.  So, you invited 10 of your closest friends, and a tea party is what we did!

It really was pinkeriffic!

xoxo,
Mom

 Best of Friends!

Ok, I guess you can be 5 now...

Hey Liv, stop growing already!!!  You big ol' 5 year old you!

Your birthday was great!  It fell on a Wednesday this year, which no one really likes weekday birthdays, but, the awesome thing is that your birthday is in the summer...so it's kind of like one really long weekend!

We started off the day by having birthday waffles in bed and opening presents.  Then I had to go to work for a bit, and I'm pretty sure you and daddy ate cake and ice cream for a second breakfast...which is of course allowed on birthdays!

For lunch, you picked Chuck E. Cheese (for the second time already that week).  And after way too much pizza, lots of games, tickets and prizes, we went home and rested before getting ready to head to the fair!  Yes, you did pick to go to the fair...for your birthday.  My kind of girl.

I was reminded quite a few times that evening, "I'm 5 now mom." and that you could ride the rides without me.  I might have cried a little...but overall, I handled it well.  But the ferris wheel, really?!  I mean, you could've humored me at least one more year.

Happy Birthday my love.  After this year, I think you are going to turn 4 again, k?
